EMOTIONAL GAP (enemy of intimacy)
This a situation in which couples are emotionally dissociated from one another. This manifests in different forms and degrees. Believing couples are supposed to be intimately knitted as brethren. Even in the body of Christ from where you are believed to have picked your spouse, the Bible says:
Rom. 12:15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
1Corith. 12:25 That there shall be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.
1Corith 12:26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.
Couples should be affected with each other's feelings. Wife's sorrow should be the husband's concerns and burdens. A woman was in labour room, the husband went to beer parlour. Another woman was in the hospital suffering from an acute disease, the husband was in the bed with another woman. If one is sick, both should be sick together.
The concerned spouse should show love, express concern, do some running, and pay any price to get the partner restored to health. Jesus was moved at the death of Lazarus. We do not have a High Priest that can not be touched with the feelings of our infirmity. A man as the family high priest should be sensitive to the feelings of his wife and family members. If we are both one flesh, the head can not be aching and the mouth singing for joy, or the stomach aching and the lips smiling.
Couple must always be concern about the emotional feeling of their spouse, no when he was happy and when he was not happy. Some couple are less concern about that. Do you know that you can safe the live of your spouse from high blood pressure and hypertension if you shoul cares and concern at appropriate time. At times, you injured your spouse internally when you did not give him or her necessary attention at the right time.
If you want to live happily and last longer with your spouse, be concern about your spouse emotional feelings so that there won't be any loophole for Devil in your marriage. Click here to read the next gap which is SOCIAL GAP.
